MTN Cameroon wants to strengthen its digital division through MTN Business
According to data from the Inter-Progress Foundation, organizer of the Yaoundé Business, SME and Partnership Fair (Promote), nearly 800 participants are expected. Among which large companies, institutions, SMEs, etc. The latter will therefore have the opportunity to present their know-how to the many visitors.
Among the major companies that have taken up residence at the Palais des Congrès (the venue of the event), is the mobile telephone operator MTN. Who has in its strategy of popularization of its products decided to carry out master classes and business classes. To be done on Monday afternoon, February 21 was intended for “MTN fusion”, a program implemented by the South African operator. Indeed, MTN fusion presents itself as “the platform for MTN partners”, launches Stéphane Eteme, Business Development Manager at MTN Cameroon. The initiative, which was launched in July 2019, therefore aims on the one hand to “promote the growth of SMEs, digital and technological by allowing them to associate themselves with our brand and that together we put our efforts together and launch products,” says Stéphane Eteme. In addition, it “will allow MTN Cameroon to have a clear positioning, through MTN Business which claims to be a digital support for companies (large companies, SMEs…)”, he continues.
Perceptibly, from the merger of MTN with a local start-up (IsNove), enrolled in its MTN fusion program, was born the MTN oneview solution. “MTN Oneview is a digital solution for managing SMEs. The advantage with this solution is that it allows the owner of the SME to take full control of his business from his phone,” explains Stéphane Eteme, Business Development Manager at MTN Cameroon.
Ambition 2025
The positioning on the digital side adopted by the telephone operator MTN, is part of the new vision called Ambition 2025, with the slogan “to be a leader in digital solutions for the progress of Africa”, indicates Franck Gérard Kom. , the General Manager of MTN Business. The vision started since would therefore like “we go from a traditional operator to a technological operator”, he adds. Being therefore in 2022, with a vision that ends in 20225, we are not counting on a quantified portfolio of partners to be reached. But rather, we seek the most digital solutions. Solutions that will be adopted after a process developed by the mobile operator.
